Afghani...I understand, and share, your ambivalence. Afghanistan has not be what I would call a success. People continue to die there everyday, the tribal in-fighting is so much a part of their culture that no amount of training or infrastructure-building will change it.<br /><br />The real frontier now is Pakistan, for clearly they have been providing succor and solace to the Taliban for a long time; talking out of both sides of their mouths to continue to get the billions in aid from the U.S. alone.<br /><br />Perhaps it is time to turn our sites on Pakistan and leave Afghanistan to rot in its own, since that's what they seem to want.Kris, in New Englandhttp://www.noodlingonit.comnoreply@blogger.com
